1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Services or our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from the Services without our express prior written consent.
The Ravel Genetics name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Ravel Genetics. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.
7. User Content
You may submit, upload, or otherwise provide information and data through the Services ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Ravel Genetics a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and analyze such content to provide and improve the Services, subject to our Privacy Policy.
You represent and warrant that:
• You own or have the rights to submit the User Content
• Your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• Your User Content does not contain false, misleading, or unlawful information
• You have obtained any required consents for submitting genetic or health information
8. Genomic and Health Data
Due to the sensitive nature of genomic and health-related data, additional terms apply:
8.1 Consent and Authorization
By submitting genetic samples or data, you explicitly consent to the collection, processing, and use of such data as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You warrant that you are submitting your own genetic data or have obtained valid legal authorization to submit another person's genetic data.
8.2 Research Use
De-identified or aggregated genomic data may be used for scientific research, publication, and product development, subject to all applicable laws and our Privacy Policy. You may opt out of research use by contacting us as described in the Privacy Policy.
8.3 Limitations
Genomic insights provided through the Services are probabilistic in nature and are not definitive diagnostic results. Genetic variants identified may have varying degrees of scientific support. Results should always be interpreted in consultation with a qualified healthcare professional or genetic counselor.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Ravel Genetics. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. 10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.
Ravel Genetics does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided through the Services.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RAVEL GENETICS, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00) OR (B) THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO RAVEL GENETICS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ravel Genetics and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your use of the Services, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You agree to bring any claim on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitation of liability) shall survive.
